So. I hate spiders. We live in the country. Nuff said.
This spider is very common in our part of Missouri. This isn't even the biggest one of these that I've seen. The boards on the left are approx 3" wide.
These little white patches on the ground are spiderwebs.
A closeup of the webs.
This is our mailbox. And our new neighbor. (Bleh!)
A close up. If you look closely at the center of the web, you'll see a brown spider. It's body was the size of a quarter. These particular spiders build webs like these overnight. There was a small one (the size of my pinkie nail) that built a small version of this in our bathroom doorway and we'd only been gone a couple hours.

Marcos wants to visit! He loves spiders/bugs and thinks your pics are awesome. Me on the other hand...I shuddered down my spine like 5 times just looking at that spider. Eek!:)
Wow! I cannot believe how gross that is!
Thats pretty nasty. Especially the ones that made their web on the ground. Guess you can't let Jacob go outside and crawl around, huh? We had an apt. like that in Utah. We had them everywhere. Except our spiders were actually spiders, Sara. Those are only daddy long legs. Just wait until you come and see our NH Tilley home spiders. You won't want to touch the ground. See you tomorrow :)
I would hate that!
HAhahaha! I am going to show these pictures to Josh! He HATES spiders!!!
